Early Adopter Community Lead
Project Based to Start - Remote
If you’re energized by purposeful work at the intersection of Adaptive Design, NLP, and real-world learning, we’d love to meet you…
💪🏼 What You’ll Own:
1. Early Adopter Community Management
Serve as the main POC for all beta testers (families and therapists).
Onboard new testers with clear, simple “here’s how to start” guidance.
Maintain an up-to-date roster of testers and their engagement status.
Proactively reach out to participants who appear stuck or inactive.
2. Communications & Expectation Setting
Plan and send regular program communications (e.g., weekly updates) that cover:
What’s new (features, fixes, UX tweaks).
What we’d like testers to try next.
How their feedback is shaping the product.
Set and reinforce expectations for time commitment, feedback channels, and program goals.
Reuse and refine templates for welcomes, check-ins, and feature announcements.
3. Feedback, Bugs & Ticket Flow (Slack + Linear)
Monitor inbound feedback and questions in Slack, email, and lightweight surveys.
Log and triage issues into Linear:
Bugs: repro steps, screenshots, device/app version, severity.
UX friction / feature requests: tagged by area (onboarding, prompts, content, etc.).
Keep a simple mapping of testers → reported issues/requests → status (open, in progress, shipped, parked).
4. Weekly Insights & Usage Synthesis
Produce a concise weekly insights summary for the internal team that highlights:
What’s working well and what’s confusing.
Activation and drop-off points in the experience.
2–3 priority recommendations for UX, content, or product experiments.
Include a small number of anonymized “real-life” stories to bring the data to life, as available.
🙌🏼 How We’ll Know It’s Working
Testers feel supported, know what to do next, and stay engaged.
Bugs and feedback are captured cleanly, with low “translation cost” for engineering.
Weekly insight summaries influence what we ship, and we can point to specific changes driven by the early-adopter community.
🤹♀️ You Will Work on Things Like…
Building small prototypes using libraries such as Whisper, Faster-Whisper, Transformers.js, spaCy, or OpenAI APIs.
Testing prompt-engineering strategies or embeddings pipelines for in-app semantics.
Benchmarking TTS voices for clarity, tone, and support needs in neurodivergent learning.
Running multilingual tests to assess feasibility of expansion into new languages.
Evaluating open-source contributions and identifying integration opportunities.
Designing edge-case tests to ensure NLP behaviors meet accessibility constraints
🤝 Operating Rhythm
Daily: Monitor comms, route issues to Linear, acknowledge feedback.
Weekly: Send community update + internal insights summary; sync with product/engineering on priorities.
Monthly: Review tester roster, overall patterns, and implications for roadmap and UX experiments.
⚒️ Tools & Interfaces
Slack – primary internal and (if used) external community channel for day-to-day conversation.
Linear – source of truth for bugs, UX issues, and feature requests originating from the beta community.
Survey / form tool + simple doc/spreadsheet – for structured feedback and insight tracking.
Let’s talk.
